About the Danforth Gallery and Park County Friends of the Arts:

Established in 1974, the Danforth Gallery became a non-profit gallery in 1975 under the direction of the Park County Friends of the Arts. The Danforth is one of the oldest nonprofit galleries in Montana, and Livingston's first gallery.

Our mission is to promote the arts in our community and Montana. We show exciting new artists who are not yet established in galleries and museums, in addition to artists with local, national, and international reputations. This gives our community and our visitors an opportunity to see contemporary works and outsider and folk art that they might not find elsewhere, and it gives a broad variety of Western artists a showcase for their work.
